Reversed Shock Mount ScrewsThe stock shock mounting setup always annoyed me. For the front shocks it poses no problem. However if you ever needed to remove a shock mounted on the rear shock tower, you would often have to remove the motor or the fuel tank to pull the screw out. This makes removing and reinstalling a shock time consuming. There's an easily solution to this dilemma, and it makes the shocks much easier to remove for maintenance and spring changes. All you need to do is to reverse the long screws, so that the nut faces the inside of the chassis. With the nut on the inside, you can still get an open end wrench on them. Unlike the stock setup however, you can also pull the screws out of the shock tower without removing the motor or fuel tank. This is because, with the screws reversed, they now pull out from the outside of the shock tower.
