Monkey Bottom Raceway

Monkey Bottom Raceway is the track located closest to me, and where I tend to do most of my racing and testing. Most of the time Jeph, who has made the track available and owns ZNZ Hobbies in Lexington, is usually on hand to get some photos of the action on race day as well as some practice days.

Currently there is no on-site power at Monkey bottom, so plan accordingly by bringing a generator. You can also use your car battery, as there is some parking available alongside the track. Monkey Bottom runs both Nitro and electric Classes on race days, and only three entries are needed for a class. Turnout is usually strong, providing plenty of racers at all skill levels.

There is no on-site hobby store, however parts orders can be placed early in the day and will arrive before the Mains begin. As a final note, Monkey Bottom Raceway supports personal transponders and has handout transponders available if needed.

Race Schedule

Signups start at 8:30am. Driver’s Meeting will be at 9:45am, with the first round of qualifying starting at 10:30.
