Latest Happenings At Misbehavin-RC

Behind The Scenes

There's not a lot new on this front. I will mention that some of you may have noticed the site was offline this past weekend. There was a problem with the ISP supplied router that seemed to have only affected the HTTP port. It only took them a few minutes to fix once I noticed the problem, but since I always access the site from behind the firewall, I wasn't aware there was a problem until it had been going on for a prolonged period of time. All is well now as I prepare to issue another round of site updates.

Latest Updates

My updates this time around are a little more subdued, as much of my time in the past few weeks was devoted to painting a few more RC bodies. I've painted a total of four bodies, to be thrown on eBay, since the last update. The first was another Hummer H2, which was painted up like the one I did for Zac. I've also painted an HPI El Camino, Pro-Line Dodge Ram, and a Ford F-350. You'll find more information and pictures on these bodies in the Paint Shop section of the site.

I recently ran across someone on the Traxxas Message boards who did not have a copy of the Dynamite Race Guard failsafe. They were confused about how to set it, and since the instructions were not available online I scanned it and sent it to him. Since I made the scan of the instruction sheet I thought I would place it on the site, in case anyone else needed it in the future. So it's been added to the section on Installing a Failsafe.

I've also edited the Kit vs. RTR articles of the Electric Rustler and Stampede. Since Traxxas has stopped making kits, I thought that the article should be noted with that information to avoid confusion. However the article itself remains, as there's still the possibility there are still some kits on hobby store shelves. It's also possible from time to time one may appear on eBay.

Information on the FOC (Forward Only Conversion) can now be found in the T-Maxx upgrades article. I'm considering this upgrade myself, and if I go through with it, I'll have a full walkthrough when I complete it. You may also notice that the links section has grown again. Usually I list them at the bottom of this article when I add links. However due to the fact I added about 20 links, I decided not to do that in this case. So you'll just have to find them yourself!!!

Latest Purchases

The month of June has been relatively quiet on the upgrade front. Unless you count a new glow plug wrench, or my locking glow plug connector. Pretty pathetic, especially if you consider my birthday was in June. However I just haven't been able to may a few key decisions regarding which way to go next so, instead of spending for the sake of spending, I just decided to wait and think about my next upgrades.

I will say that the Dynamite wrench is a welcome addition to my tools. It makes it much easier to change a glow plug than if I were using the stock Traxxas wrench. Plus Zac really needed something better than the stock wrench as it doesn't work so well when you're running tall body posts for a SUV body. The Dynamite glow plug connector allows me to use plugs that won't work so well with the stock Traxxas glow plug wire. I try to use the Traxxas plugs, but lately they've been hard to get a hold of. Even the only aftermarket plugs, compatible with the Traxxas wire that seem to be available, are the colder plugs designed for 25+% nitro. I picked up the Dynamite connector so that I could use a number of other plugs, such as Dynamite or O.S. I should give me the capability to use any plug end I desire.

Until next time, keep on bashin'!!!
